Berlin, August 18, 2025 – PSI Software SE has launched the first fully configurable test procedure for warehouse management systems, now available within PSIwms. The new tool enables automated testing of warehouse processes, making it easier for logistics providers to ensure that changes in their WMS or intralogistics setups continue to run smoothly.
Regular testing is critical for warehouses that update software or workflows. PSIwms now allows users to simulate real intralogistics processes themselves, without relying solely on external IT teams. This makes it possible to validate system performance directly after updates or new software releases.
Key Points:
-
PSI Software SE releases first configurable WMS test procedure.
-
Automated testing now built into PSIwms.
-
NOSTA Group, a long-time PSIwms user, confirms efficiency gains.
-
Test suites cover processes from goods receipt to cross-docking.
-
Simulations detect issues without affecting physical operations.
The NOSTA Group, a logistics provider based in Osnabrück, has used PSIwms since 2008. With the new automated test tool, the company can now check how new client setups affect existing workflows before implementation. According to Rainer Mönnig, IT Process Manager at NOSTA, manual testing is no longer practical given the scale of their data.
The system uses test cases defined within PSIwms to run simulations across different logistics areas, including goods receipt, picking, shipping, and specialized processes like cross-docking. These test cases are executed regularly on a test database that mirrors the real warehouse environment. As a result, hundreds of inbound deliveries with varying parameters can be tested within minutes, revealing potential problems without disrupting operations.
PSI Software has made a detailed white paper available for free download, offering insights into how automated WMS testing can improve efficiency and reliability across warehouse networks.
